About us
Green Heritage Organization (GHO) is a registered non‑profit organization based in Arusha, Tanzania. Established in 2024, GHO works with farmers, schools, youth groups and local governments to address environmental degradation, climate change and food insecurity.We combine technical expertise with community knowledge to deliver practical, locally driven solutions that protect nature while improving livelihoods.
Our Key Initiatives
Ecosystem Restoration
GHO engages communities in tree nursery establishment, tree planting campaigns and protection of water catchment areas. These activities contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation while enhancing local ecosystems.
Environmental Education
We work with schools, youth groups and communities to raise environmental awareness and build leadership for sustainability. Our education programs focus on tree planting, waste reduction, recycling and climate change awareness through online training program and environmental clubs to secondary schools.
Policy Advocacy
We advocate for environmental policies that promote conservation, sustainability, and climate action at all levels of government.
Renewable Energy Promotion
Our work includes promoting and supporting the transition to clean, renewable energy sources to reduce carbon emissions.
